The two suspects approached the booth, which is next to the Boathouse, at around 6 p.m.
The suspects stole a tip jar and a cell phone. They were chased on foot by a few Boathouse employees, but they lost them at 5th Avenue and 72nd Street.
Police searched the area for hours for the suspects, but to no avail.
Nobody was injured in the robbery.
The booth rents row boats for use on Central Park's Lake.
