Condo plan for LICH scrapped

A plan to turn a troubled Brooklyn Hospital into a condominium is scratched for now.

SUNY Board of Trustees withdrew a developer's proposal that would've transformed Long Island College Hospital into a mixed-use residential and medical center, but not a hospital.

Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio, who led the fight to keep LICH open, opposed the plan.

The board's chairman says the new mayor has not yet responded to his offer to let the city run LICH.
