Bronx fire rips through seven houses

A two-alarm fire on a residential street in the Bronx has damaged seven homes.

No injuries were reported in the blaze that began just before 6 p.m. Sunday on Schuyler Terrace near the Throgs Neck Bridge.

Officials say firefighters managed to bring the fire under control at about 7:30 p.m.

No word on what caused the fire, which quickly spread to nearby homes.

American Red Cross personnel went to the scene to help provide emergency relief. It wasn't clear how many people were displaced by the fire.
