2 in pickup killed in crash with school bus in Connecticut; no kids aboard

WATERBURY, CT -- Police say two people in a pickup have died after colliding head-on with a Waterbury school bus that wasn't carrying any children.

Police said the pickup crossed a double yellow line on Watertown Avenue and struck the bus at about 4 p.m. Tuesday. The bus driver had minor injuries.

The driver and a passenger in the Dodge Dakota pickup were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names weren't immediately released.

The road was closed for several hours for the accident investigation.
