Stacey Sager reports from Brooklyn with the victims conditions

EAST NEW YORK (WABC) -- A group of heroes will be honored at City Hall Thursday for risking everything to save three young lives from a burning apartment building in Brooklyn.

Three brothers got trapped by the fire at the Pink Houses on Loring Avenue in East New York on Tuesday.

The firefighters used a bucket ladder to reach the children and pull them to safety.

The firefighters and EMS workers being honored by Mayor Bill de Blasio include probationary firefighter Justin Tallett, 27, who has been on the job for only two months.

Tallett burst into the rear bedroom around 11 a.m. and found 4-year-old Trevele Bolton motionless under a blanket before carrying him to safety.

Trevele's two brothers - ages 5 and 8 - were also pulled from the blaze.
