Meet 'The Golden Bachelor's' first season of hopeful seniors72-year-old Gerry Turner, the first Golden Bachelor, is ready for that special someone.
LOS ANGELES -- The women of "The Golden Bachelor" were revealed Wednesday!
The 22 contestants, who are between the ages of 60 and 75, will be vying for a shot at love with 71-year-old Gerry Turner, a retired restaurateur from Indiana.
"What I hope is that I can look at one of these women, and know that I found the right person," Turner said of his experience on the romantic reality TV show.
Just like Gerry, many of these golden ladies had decades-long relationships, children and grandchildren and are ready to open themselves up to someone else again.
"I don't want to be alone anymore. I want to be in love again," Theresa said in the cast announcement video.
"People have a mental picture of what a 73-year-old person is and what they look like, which is not me," contestant Christina added.
What better way to spend your golden years?
Susan says it's "the last chapter. The best chapter."
