2-car crash in Union City, NJ, sends jitney bus out of control in New Jersey

UNION CITY, N.J. (WABC) -- A two-car crash sent a jitney bus into a fence in New Jersey.

The jitney bus and a van collided in the 3900 block of New York Avenue in Union City just before 4 a.m. Thursday.

Up to nine people were injured in the crash and taken to local hospitals. None of the injuries was life threatening.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The jitney bus appears to have been en route to New York at the time of the crash.
