Business owner shot in NJ robbery
Anthony Johnson reports from the scene of a shooting in South Hackensack that left a business owner gravely wounded.

SOUTH HACKENSACK (WABC) -- A New Jersey business owner has died after he was shot in an apparent robbery in South Hackensack, New Jersey, Sunday night.



The shooting happened at the Clean Sweep Chimney Depot, a chimney and fireplace store on Route 46, near Teterboro Airport.



The owner has been identified as 51-year-old Richard Zarriello, of Chestnut Ridge. He died around 3:45 p.m. Monday at Hackensack Medical Center, with Bergen County prosecutor John Molinelli tweeting that police are now conducting a homicide investigation.



Authorities say Zarriello was shot at least six times, and the cash register was found on the floor.



He was found by his business partner.



There is no word on how much money was taken.



So far, there have been no arrests.
