Flames started in a room off the 7 train line on 103 St. - Corona Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue just before 8 p.m. Friday.
The discovery was made on 59-21 Calloway Street in Corona just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police in Queens say they have made an arrest and that charges are pending.
The proposal, which would repurpose 25 acres of land at Citi Field for a new park and casino, still needs to be approved by the State legislature.
