HAMILTON, N.J. (WABC) -- Dozens are displaced after a fire ripped through at least 15 rowhouses in New Jersey.

Officials say the fire broke out at about 4:30 p.m. Monday in Hamilton Township as workers were repairing a roof on East State Street. Strong winds helped the flames jump from roof to roof.

Hamilton Fire Chief Thomas Gribbin says the blaze burned for hours and it took about 175 firefighters to control the fire. Gribbin says firefighters were already exhausted from battling a multi-alarm house fire hours earlier.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are working to find the cause of the fire.

The Red Cross is helping displaced residents.
