This week's MTA Heroes are a group of Metro-North Railroad employees who worked with the MTA Police Department to reunite a missing 11-year-old boy with his family.
A 20-year-old father has been arraigned on charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of his 2-year-old son, who was found dead in the East River this week.
The body, described as a male approximately 2 years old, was found by an NYPD Harbor unit on patrol.
Detectives have reason to believe the 20-year-old father of 2-year-old Montrell Williams threw him into the Bronx River, near the Bruckner Expressway.
The father had a custodial visit back on May 10 at 10 p.m. in the Hunts Point area, but did not return little Montrell Williams.
The 7-year-old, who has autism and is non-verbal, went missing around 11:45 a.m. after leaving Dera Restaurant, located at 7209 in Jackson Heights, Queens.
