NEW YORK -- Police are looking for suspects after three people were slashed and injured in the Union Square subway station.
They said a verbal dispute between two groups of men that began in front of Webster Hall on East 11th Street around 5 a.m. Friday continued inside the 14th Street station. When the group got to the token booth, one of the suspects pulled out a knife.
Two suspects -- ages 24 and 20 -- were taken into custody and charges against them are pending. A knife was recovered at the scene.
Three men were injured. Police said one person was slashed on the face, another sustained injuries to the forehead and a third was stabbed in the back.
Fire officials say they were all taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
Number 6 subway service was briefly suspended, but it has resumed.
