Upper East Side fire on East 78th Street leaves 4 hurt

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Four people were injured in a two-alarm fire in an Upper East Side apartment building Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out at 4:50 a.m. on the second floor of an apartment building in the 300 block of East 78th Street.

One resident was critically injured and taken to the hospital, while three others sustained non life-threatening injuries.

Officials have not commented on the cause of the fire. There is also no word on the extent of the damages.
