VIRGINIA (WABC) -- One of the two Navy SEALs who died in a training accident at a base in Virginia over the weekend was from Queens.

The local SEAL was identified as 32-year-old Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Seth Cody Lewis.

He and fellow SEAL Brett Allen Marihugh, of Livonia, Michigan, were found unresponsive on Friday at the bottom of a pool at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story in Norfolk.

Lewis died Friday. Marihugh died Sunday.

Lt. David Lloyd says both sailors were members of Naval Special Warfare Group 2. Marihugh and Lewis both served in the U.S. Marine Corps before they enlisted in the Navy in 2006.

The accident is under investigation.
