NYPD: Off-duty police sergeant accused of rape

NEW YORK -- The NYPD says an off-duty police sergeant has been arrested on charges of rape in connection with a minor.

Police say Vladimir Krull also is accused of sexual misconduct, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. The girl is the daughter of a woman Krull knows.

According to the criminal complaint, the ongoing relationship dates back to September of 2013. The victim is 14 years old.

The 37-year-old sergeant was arrested Tuesday in Queens and arraigned Tuesday night.

The 10-year veteran had been assigned to the Midtown North Precinct and was suspended without pay.

The investigation is continuing.

Bail was set at $75,000.
