Eyewitness News is told the victim is a 14-year-old boy who was grazed by the bullet. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital.
His condition is not immediately known.
Police say the shooter, believed to be between 14 and 16-years-old fled into a nearby housing project and is the subject of an intense police search right now.
