Gov. Paterson to open mansion to public

ALBANY, N.Y. Governor David Paterson and his wife plan to continue the New Year's Day tradition of opening the doors of the mansion to the public. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on January 1st.

Tickets to the open house will be available to interested residents who register online by December 29th at 5 p.m. If the number of requests exceeds the number of available openings, attendees will be randomly selected by lottery.

Each individual granted a ticket can bring one guest and any children from their household. Photography won't be allowed, and guests aren't allowed to bring bags or backpacks of any kind.
