"He puts his jacket up and he puts the gun like (up) and he says don't talk, don't yell, just give me the money or you are dead meat," said Theosevis.
So the owner complied, opening the register even asking how much money the man wanted, but it was all part of his plan to distract the suspect who police identify as 23-year-old Andrew Barnard.
"He went over to the register so then I grabbed his hand twisted his hand and took the gun away," adds Theosevis.
At that point the manager says he put the bb gun in his pocket, but wasn't ready to let the suspect off easy.
Once outside, the manager chased the suspect down the road several blocks and held him from behind, at a street corner until police arrived/
The owner says despite police warnings to never fight back, he's glad he did, and says he's done it before.
Theosveis adds, "Ask me for money but don't tell me I am dead meat. I'm here for 28 years.
He says the bottom line is don't mess with him, at least not when it comes to his diner In Greenvale.
