Smokey fire breaks out in Brooklyn

A house fire in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn spewed a column of smoke that could be seen for miles. Newscopter-7 was live over the scene.

The fire reportedly broke out inside the East 8th Street house just after 6:15 a.m. this morning.

Heavy smoke spewed out of the two story home, and could be seen for miles.

Eyewitness News is told firefighters battled the flames for nearly an hour before bringing the fire under control.

No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
