Plane forced back to Newark Airport

NEWARK Continental Flight 1884, to Cyril E. King Airport in the Virgin Islands, took off from Newark at 10:07 a.m.

Soon after, the pilot reported compressor failure, and the plane returned to Newark. The flight landed at 10:16 a.m. on Runway 22R.

No injuries were reported. Passenger were put on another aircraft and are en route to their destination.
