Teenage student charged with rape

WHITE PLAINS Investigator Timothy Miller says the arrest came after a female student at Hendrick Hudson High School in Cortlandt reported that she was forced into sexual intercourse at a bathroom in the school.

The arrested student was sent to a juvenile detention facility and is due in Cortlandt Town Court on May 29.

A spokesman for the Westchester County district attorney's office says that despite the suspect's age, the case is not being prosecuted in Family Court because of the seriousness of the crime.

No lawyer was listed for the boy in town court records.
