Woman robbed in Greenwich Village

GREENWICH VILLAGE It happened Thursday at 5:00 p.m. inside an apartment at 9th Street and 5th Avenue.

The woman had just put out the garbage when the suspect, armed with a sharp object, grabbed her from behind.

Police say she was tied up while the suspect robbed electronic equipment and cash.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 45-50 years old, 6'2" and 175 pounds. He was wearing a grey zippered sweater, blue jeans, tan boots and was carrying a red book bag.
