New York City subway riders will be able to text and make phone calls while waiting for the train.

After being derailed once before, an MTA plan to bring Wi-Fi and cell service to subway stations is back on track

Transit Wireless will soon start work on wiring all 277 stations.

Riders will have service on platforms, mezzanines and other areas. But for the most part, there won't be onboard service between station stops.
