Firefighters battle blaze in strip of stores on SI

Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire that tore through four businesses in Staten Island late Tuesday night.

The blaze broke out inside one of the shops on Forest Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. and quickly spread through a strip of stores.

Flames destroyed a pizzeria, a baber shop, a gold buyer and a tax office.

Forest Avenue was closed while firefighters battled the blaze. No injuries were reported.
