One person dead after cab crashes through business

One person was killed and five others injured when a car crashed through a building in the Bronx.

The accident happened at 2:47pm in the Fordham section of the Bronx.

The woman who died is 61 years old, but has yet to be identified. Witnesses say the woman was walking on the street.

A second pedestrian was also struck. In addition, three people in the vehicle were hurt, the driver and two passengers. One of the injured was a young child.

All four are in stable condition and will be discharged at some point this evening.

There are no charges against the cab driver at this point.

All the injured were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.
