Device that lets you kiss over the internet

NEW YORK

The new device, created at Tokyo's Kajimoto Laboratory, has a plastic straw that acts like a human tongue, and swirl your tongue around it like you are actually kissing someone. By doing this, the device on the other end will get triggered and start to respond by motioning back.

The Kiss Transmission Device may seem a little strange for most people, but for those lovers who are in long distance relationships, this may be a nice way to get them through.

In fact, the Kiss Transmission Device also includes a Kiss Information memory, which means people can relive their kisses over and over, even if their loved one isn't available over the internet at the time. All they have to do is save the kiss and then replay it whenever they want.

Researcher Takahashi is anticipating people's skepticism. He knows that will be hard at first to convince people that licking a plastic straw can be as good as kissing but he believes he can win over the non-believers.

"The elements of a kiss include the sense of taste, the manner of breathing and the moistness of the tongue," Takahashi said.

He would like to update his device one day by recreating those details. Once he does that, he feels his device will become very powerful.
