The 21-year-old woman was found in the third floor apartment of her Washington Avenue building. The victim, who was three months pregnant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fire broke out just after 3:30 a.m. Friday and quickly spread.
Other residents who live in the building escaped and were treated outside, mostly for smoke inhalation.
The victim's friends tried to save her, but she was unconscious and they were overcome by heavy smoke.
A cigarette apparently sparked the blaze.
