Singers sang a rendition of the Italian National Anthem during a wreath-laying ceremony at Columbus Circle on Sunday.
The annual event also pays tribute to Italian immigrants and civil servants.
Among the people on hand were honorees and the grand marshal of Monday's Columbus Day Parade.
