Salt cravings form early for babies

New medical information shows that parents may be to blame for constant salty food cravings.

A small study shows babies are more likely to grow to enjoy the taste of salt, if they eat starchy foods like cereal and crackers within their first six months.

By contrast, researchers say infants who stayed on baby food throughout their first six months were more likely to be indifferent to salty food later in life.
