A cold bath after a workout can be soothing, but is it safe?

Researchers say plunging into cold water after exercising can help those sore muscles.

However, they warn it could be a shock to the system and even dangerous, especially for someone with an underlying heart condition.

The study found other treatments can work just as well for muscle aches, including massages and stretching.
