Bystander caught in crossfire of Bronx shooting

NEW YORK

The shooting Saturday afternoon was caught on surveillance video.

Police say two men were fighting on a street corner in Morrisania when one pulled a gun and started firing.

A 66-year-old bystander was hit.

But two Good Samaritans ran to his aid.

"When they finally found the guy laying down, he was laying down in a pool of blood," said eyewitness David Zaiter.

"This girl and this guy came to his aid, and they wrapped a scarf around his legs and stopped bleeding because he was bleeding so much".

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police are still trying to identify and find the gunman.
