Fire in Bedford-Stuyvesant starts after car crashes into building

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- A fire started Saturday after a car crashed into a building in Brooklyn.

In Bedford-Stuyvesant, the New York City Fire Department responded around 4 a.m. to a fire in a building at Dekalb Avenue and Throop Avenue.

The three-alarm fire was the result of a car that ran into the building which has a Chinese restaurant on the lower floor with apartments above.

About 140 firefighters responded along with 30 pieces of fire apparatus.

The fire was put out later Saturday morning.
