Marine officials says the video violates "the high standard we expect of every Marine."
The video is low quality, but it is clear enough to see the two Marines playing around as one holds the puppy to the camera, before tossing it into a rocky gully in Iraq.
The puppy is then heard yelping as it flies through the air.
The YouTube video is, "shocking and deplorable," said military officials.
