Cops save choking boy at breakfast table

Incident happened on Long Island
SMITHTOWN The frantic family called 911 at 7:16 a.m Friday when the boy stopped breathing and turned blue.

Suffolk County Police Officers Victor Perez and Vincent Sorrentino arrived at the house at 103 Plymouth Boulevard.

Officer Perez performed the Heimlich maneuver and after about three thrusts the food blockage was ejected. The officers then provided oxygen.

The boy, who was not immediately identified, was taken to St. Catherine of Sienna Medical Center by the Commack Rescue Squad to be checked out.
