NJ lawmaker has mild heart attack

MASSACHUSETTS Relatives said 71-year-old Sen. Anthony R. Bucco was resting comfortably Sunday and was expected to be released from Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston on Tuesday.

The Republican lawmaker's son, Anthony M. Bucco, told the Daily Record of Parsippany that his father had a "stress-related heart attack" on Saturday and received a cardiac catheterization later that day.

The elder Bucco, a Boonton resident, represents the 25th District in northern Jersey. He was a state assemblyman from 1995 to 1998, when he moved over to the Senate, and has held leadership positions in both houses.
