She was released on a desk appearance ticket and will appear June 23 in First District Court.
Authorities say Williams-Bass put "a balloon wrapper filled with a brownish substance believed to be tobacco and approximately 10 match heads" in the mouth of her 2-year-old son when she visited the Nassau County Correctional Facility in East Meadow.
She apparently planed to sneak the tobacco in to her boyfriend, but the plot was foiled when a corrections officer saw the child chewing on the balloon.
Her 4-year-old daughter was also present at the time.
