He was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he died.
Police say the boy was at a party attended by more than two dozen other teenagers.
No arrests have been made.
Brentwood is about 50 miles east of Manhattan.

Suffolk County police say the boy was found lying on the front
lawn of a Brentwood home on Friday night with a gunshot wound to
