Fire claims life of German Sheperd

NEW YORK

According to the Daily News, the German shepherd, named Chloe, was the same dog rescued in January from the frigid Hudson River.

It says her owner, Mark Stoss, was being treated for smoke inhalation. It's believed a faulty electrical heater may have started Friday's fire.

The 46-foot boat, the Quid Pro Quo, sank. It had been docked at Pier 59 near West 17th Street.
