32-year-old Rasheen Everett was convicted of second degree murder and other charges.
He faces up to life in prison for the killing in Queens in 2010.
Prosecutors say Everett strangled Amanda Gonzalez Andujar in her apartment in Glendale, then poured bleach over her body in an attempt to hide evidence.
