Army captain's body returns after helicopter accident

YORKTOWN, N.Y.

Dozens of police and firefighters were on hand, as the body of Capt. Clayton Carpenter arrived in Yorktown.

He was killed last week near Savannah, Georgia when his Blackhawk helicopter made a hard landing.

A 2005 graduate of West Point, Carpenter served two tours in Iraq and served in Afghanistan with a special ops unit.

His family says he loved flying helicopters.

Carpenter's funeral is set for Saturday.

He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
