13 arrested in prostitution sting in Newark, New Jersey

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- More than a dozen women and men were arrested in a prostitution sting in New Jersey Friday.

Newark police said they received complaints about activity in the area of Clinton Avenue and 20th Street to Hawthorne Avenue and Birks Place - and that's where they focused their operation.

In all, four women and nine men were arrested -- the women for allegedly seeking cash for sex, with the men allegedly seeking sex for cash. All were charged with prostitution.

Here are the names of those arrested, as released by police:

Gretchen Ford, 51, of Newark

Charlette Chapman, 41, of Newark

Juanita Coleman, 49, of Irvington

Shenik Hunter, 39 of Irvington

MEN

Ikhayere Collins, 44, of Newark

Stanley Stflevr, 22, of Irvington

Jean Georges, 23, of Maplewood

Manuel Yupa- Maurizaca, 40, of Orange

Naquan Oneil, 39, of Newark

Troy Kearney, 39 of Irvington

James Banks, 30, of Newark

Allen E. Brown, 42, of Stroudsburg, PA

John Jackson, 37, of Staten Island, NY

Police said they towed seven vehicles as a result of the arrests.
