Streets and major thoroughfares across New York including parts of the FDR Drive were closed for part of the day Sunday as 32,000 took part in the Five Boro Bike Tour.

More than 30,000 cyclists from around the region and all over took part. It's the largest cycling event in the country.

It started back in 1977 with just 250 riders.
