Rockland County closes parks due to social distancing
In Rockland County, officials have closed the parks for the foreseeable future because people failed to follow social distancing guidelines.

ROCKLAND CO., New York (WABC) -- In Rockland County, officials have closed the parks for the foreseeable future.

That includes playgrounds, trails, and all events.

The order went into effect at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

County officials say too many people failed to use proper social distancing in the parks.
