Four city deaths have been linked to the swine flu virus since the outbreak began more than a month ago at St. Francis Prepatory school in Queens.
The city ordered five other public schools closed on Tuesday, while 20 others that had been shut down over the flu scare reopened.
The health department says there are 356 confirmed cases of H1N1 in the city.
The Department of Correction says that 26 inmates at six jails on Rikers Island have the virus.
