Keep moving to prevent PAD

NEW YORK

Researchers studied 1300 people for signs of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD).

It's caused by narrowed leg arteries that restrict blood flow and can impair walking.

Participants who got little regular exercise were one and a half times more likely to get the disease than active ones.

The disease also ups the risk for heart attack and stroke.

More reason than ever to keep moving!

The study is published in the August issue of the Journal of Vascular Surgery.
