Memorial services were being held Friday to mark four years since the deadly high-rise apartment building fire in the Bronx that claimed the lives of 17 people.
The shooting happened after passengers aboard four scooters got into a dispute along East 183rd Street and Jerome Avenue, according to preliminary information from police sources.
No students were in the classroom as school does not start until Thursday.
When firefighters got into the collapsed portion of one of the homes, they found a man dead inside.
Fausto Rodriguez, 40, was tragically gunned down Friday. The gunman is still at large.
The batteries are to blame for at least 30 fires in New York City so far this year.
