Movie review: 'The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water'
Sandy Kenyon's review

It becomes clear pretty quickly that the new Sponge Bob movie aims to make kids laugh -- while trying to amuse their parents at the same time.

In "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water", underneath the sea in a town called Bikini Bottom the local delicacy is the krabby patty but when Plankton tries to steal the formula, it mysteriously disappears and Mr. Krab, voiced by Clancy Brown does not find this funny.

It turns out the culprit is portrayed by Antonio Banderas.

Welcome to the apocalypse! And there's only way to make it stop: SpongeBob Square Pants and his pals head to the surface and hit the beach.

Like the old saying goes, revenge is best served cold and amid all the 3-D mayhem there's even a lesson about teamwork -- though you may be laughing too hard to notice.

Watching this on a Saturday morning with children put me in a good mood for the rest of the day! The second SpongeBob movie should captivate your kids especially if they're still in grade school and seeing it with them may make some great memories for you as well!
