NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- On this episode of Up Close, the House and the Senate doing something that rarely gets done, overwhelmingly approving the bill raising the debt ceiling and avoiding, by just a few days, a financial disaster for this country.

Even though no one was fully pleased with the bill negotiated by Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Joe Biden, could this vote break a political log jam and lead to bipartisan action on other major issues facing the country?

We talk to Democratic Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey.
