NEW YORK (WABC) -- Sunshine remains in short supply over the weekend, but maybe some brightening by Sunday afternoon.
Saturday will be cloudy with a shower around, mainly from New York City on west and south with more numerous showers over northwestern New Jersey and also in south Jersey toward Philadelphia.
Clouds will try to break for at least a little sun by Sunday afternoon.
Brighter skies and warmer temperatures are on the way for next week until the threat of a thunderstorm late Wednesday night and Thursday.
