'Bonnie & Clyde' of car thefts?

NEW YORK A spokesman for Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan says 29-year-old Ramon Rodriguez and his 28-year-old girlfriend, Christine Curcio, were each arraigned Thursday on 14 counts of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

A call and e-mail to the Staten Island District Attorney's office for arraignment details as well as the names of their lawyers was not immediately returned.

Police told The Staten Island Advance that the couple had admitted to stealing 14 cars over the past two months.

Investigators say the cars were stolen for parts.

Police arrested the couple Wednesday, driving a car that had recently been donated to charity; its title was in the car.
